Adenium is a small genus of succulent shrubs with toxic sap that produce swollen stems, often with unusual forms that are completely transformed when the striking and decorative flowers. The Impala lily (Adenium multiflorum) grows in hot, dry, sandy or rocky habitats in open deciduous woodlands, from sea level to approximately 1 200 metres above sea level. This deciduous thick-stemmed shrub can grow up to 3 metres tall and has a smooth grey bark.
